Why Choose University Hospital Cincinnati?
One of the Nation’s Leading Hospitals in Organ Donation
University Hospital Cincinnati is one of the country’s leading hospitals in our number of organ donors. As a Level I Trauma Center, we have access to more organs through the generosity of patients and families who choose to donate. In addition, over 50 percent of licensed drivers in the state of Ohio are registered organ donors.
Even if you or a family member never needs a transplant, you can pass on the gift of life by enrolling in the Ohio Donor Registry either on-line (www.donatelifeohio.org) or at the time you renew your driver’s license. In either case, please discuss your wishes with your family.
It’s easy to become an organ donor. Just register with your state’s donor registry or indicate your wishes by signing the back of your driver’s license.
For more information on organ donation and donor families, visit the United Network for Organ Sharing Web site at www.unos.org.
