Medical Practices

Comprehensive, Patient-Focused Care, Close to Home

University Hospital Medical Practices provide an extensive range of primary and specialized health care services.  Over 140,000 patients visit our 50 University Hospital clinics each year.  Whether you’re seeing us for an annual check-up or post-operative care, the Medical Practices’ health care team works to ensure your good health by managing all aspects of your health care.  This team includes primary care physicians, specialists, residents, nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants, social workers and many others.

As part of University Hospital, you’ll enjoy the highest level of care. There’s also the confidence that comes in knowing your medical practice adheres to the same standards of excellence and quality processes of the hospital, and has earned the Joint Commission accreditation.  The Medicine-Pediatrics and Internal Medicine Resident practices are members of the Chronic Disease Collaborative in Cincinnati and many of the physicians have been listed in Cincinnati Magazine’s annual Top Doctors issue.  The Internal Medicine Residency Program was selected by the American College of Graduate Medical Education for its Educational Innovations Award.

  • Instant Access to Patient Information With Electronic Records

Authorized physicians have immediate access to your medical records, medication information and lab and test results with your fully digitized patient record.  Your health care provider can add important information to your file or send information to another University Hospital specialist in preparation for a follow-up appointment or second opinion, without touching a piece of paper.  Our electronic medical records help to improve the quality of care, allow your primary care physician and specialists to view the same record, and enhance communications between your providers.

A Collaborative Partnership With UC Faculty

Patients at our Medical Practices benefit from our partnership with University of Cincinnati faculty.  These same health care professionals who teach and treat are also involved in conducting some of the most current research.
