C-STARS
University Hospital Cincinnati C-STARS
A Joint Training Program With the Air Force
University Hospital Cincinnati C-STARS(Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills) is a joint program between University Hospital and the Air Force offering training for military medical personnel in the areas of trauma and critical care.
The third program of its kind in the nation, C-STARS was created to enable Air Force health care providers to
refresh their skills by working side-by-side with their civilian colleagues treating trauma and critical care patients. University Hospital was chosen to sponsor C-STARS thanks to its national reputation as a teaching hospital and the high volume of trauma and critical care patients treated each year.
C-STARS Courses
14 classes per year, with class sizes ranging from 12 to 15 Air Force health care professionals, spending 14 days rotating through the C-STARS course:
